BOOKINGS

Are bookings essential?

Bookings are recommended, but not essential. We hold back tables just for walkin guests. 

If my desired time is not shown online does it mean you are full?

Not nesscessarily. We can often move bookings around to create space. If you cant see your desired time online, please call or email us.

How long is my booking?

Bookings for 2-4 people at 5pm are 1.5hrs. Bookings before 8pm are 2 hours. From 8 pm you can have the table for the rest of the night.

If you would like to stay longer, we would love to have you, give us a call on 048033995 or emails us for an extended sitting.

We do allow extra time for our larger groups so everyone is comfortable & not feeling rushed throughout the sitting. 

What is the difference in the areas at Dragonfly? 

Dragonfly has 3 main areas. The main dining room, the cocktail bar and the courtyard. 

The main dining room is normal tables and chairs. 

The cocktail bar is a mixture of mid height and full height bar leaner tables. With backless stools. If booking online you will only be offered a mid height table.  

The courtyard area is normal height tables, with a mixture of stools and bench seats. 

We take bookings in all areas and offer the full diner menu and table service.

Is the courtyard covered and do you have heaters?

Yes the courtyard is covered and has 8 heaters throughout the area. 

Why can't I edit my booking online?

You can cancel your reservation online, but to make changes to date numbers and time please call or email us.

Are we able to walk-in without a booking?

Yes we do take walk ins. The walk in spaces operate on a ‘first come first serve’ system. We do not reserve them. There is no ‘good’ time to get a walk in space, it is completely random and up to chance. Everyday is different. You just turn up and try your luck.

Do you run a waitlist. 

Yes we run a wait list at our bar. Where you can stand and have a drink while you wait for the next suitable table to become free. Usually tables turn over quickly. 

Can we bring the kids?

Children are welcome. We run on a restuarant license so children are allowed in all areas of the venue.

Do you take group bookings?

You are able to book for groups up to 8 guests online via our website. For groups of 9 or more, we ask that you give us a call or send us an email to make a reservation.

For all necessary information in regards to catering and what we offer our larger groups will be sent via email.

Do I have to dine on a banquet menu

We require banquet menus for groups of 14 or more guests. This helps us maintain our service levels for both your group and the other groups in the venue at the time. We can manage most dietary requirements, we just need to know what they are in advance. 

Parking 

Contrary to all the media coverage, there is still lots of parking on and around Courtenay Place. Outside of the on street car parking throughout Courtenay Place and on its side streets. 

There is also a car park on Tory street next to Bunnings and two car parks behind the Reading Cinema, accessible from cable street. 

MENU 

Do you have a kids menu?

We do not have a kids menu. We do have numerous dishes that most children are happy with.

Do you offer takeaway’s? 

Currently we are not offering takeaways. 

ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

We have vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten free and celiac options available. For more specific intolerances & allergies we urge you to contact us directly to see if we can accommodate them.

CAKES

Can we bring a cake?

We allow cakes, there is no charge. Please contact us in advance if you plan to bring a cake..

We cannot allow sparklers in the building due to fire alarms, but candles are OK.
